I asked jewellery designer and owner of accessories brand Girl With Pearls Nini Bukulova how she’s managing her creativity and sanity during isolation. Nini leaves in South Germany with her husband.
What positivity has isolation brought to your creativity?
I’m a very creative person, so the isolation is not that difficult for me. Its almost spring and the sun shines in my house, this makes me even more protuctive! Now I have enough time to create new designs and get inspired.
What are you doing to keep sane?
I stay at home!!! Now I am exactly 14 days at home, I eat healthy and eat lots of vitamins.
Fave snacks you’ve been eating while being at home?
Ohhh, I love gummy bears!!! I try not to eat them too often, but I love them… But also love to eat various fruits.
Can you share any good online stores to buy things for craft making?
Before isolation, I bought some beads and pearls in a boutique in my hometown. I only use beads/pearls with the best quality; and sometimes really rare beads from vintage shops. So I’m always on the ‘hunt’ for beads. But I also love Etsy, there’s a good international selection.
First thing you’ll do when the lockdown’s over?
Oh, definitely the first thing I do is, I will go to my favourite little cafe and eat some homemade cake with my husband!!
