Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding . Round 2 of our collaboration with GURLS TALK, the platform founded by Adwoa Aboah. A space where girls can openly discuss their thoughts in a safe and non-judgemental zone. These four t-shirts were hand embroidered by Nicole Chui a London based embroidery designer and founder of Fem zine.
I met Nicole for the first time and interviewed her last December to talk about how she got into French knots and surface decoration. Unlike many textiles designers Nicole applies her craft to add texture to pictures and photographs, an art form I believe will take her to many different places. She’s in her last year of studying Creative Direction for Fashion at London College of Fashion and is incredibly savvy and talented and I’m really happy she was able to be a part of this collaboration.
