Round 3 of our collaboration with the therapeutic and open female platform GURLS TALK founded by Adwoa Aboah. Over the last two weeks Myself and Nicole Chui‘s hand embroidered t-shirts have been on sale and today Sofia Salazar’s t-shirts are now for sale and now ready to make their way to your wardrobes.
Originally from Argentina, Sofia is a textiles designer and illustrator now living in Norwich. I met and interviewed her last year about textiles and her business Hiedra. Sofia specialises in using a kantan needle to embroider her designs and takes inspiration from Greek sculptures.
You can buy our t-shirts here and all proceeds will be donated to the Baytree Centre in Brixton. The centre is a charity organisation working with and empowering women and girls through education and skills development programmes.
T-shirts modelled by Gemma O’Brien, Naima Rahman, Sharmila Rahman and Bella Gladman. Photography by Nwaka Okparaeke.
