Super excited and happy to be running an embroidery workshop in my favourite perfectly pink and the most Instagrammable cafe Palm Vaults On Wednesday 11 October.
During the evening I’ll be teaching you how to do French knots, satin, running, star and back stitches using embroidery floss (thread) on plain cotton fabric to begin with; this is so you get the hang of the stitches. We will also play around with stitching on template designs. Once you feel confident you can embroider on a tote or drawstring bag, you’re welcome to bring in your own item of clothing to embroider on (t-shirt, jeans, jumpers whatever you like!). Palm Vaults also sell printed t-shirts if you’d like to stitch on that too. Click here to shop their collection.
The workshop is aimed mainly at beginners but all other levels are welcome. It’s nice to stitch in company and Palm Vaults is such a lovely space to work in. All materials and equipment will be provided.
What else is included you ask?
A goody bag of sewing treats (1 embroidery hoop, needles, linen and thread) to continue your new skills at home
Drinks and light refreshments
A break away from your phones and busy schedules. Using your hands to create is therapeutic, confidence boosting and good for your well-being
A good opportunity to learn new skills in an intimate setting that you can develop in your own time and add new personalised life to your clothes or interiors. It’s nice to have something that nobody else has
So you have a high-quality learning experience there’s a maximum of eight people in the workshop led by one myself and my assistant.
