Lora Avedian is a multidisciplinary artist living in the UK with her partner and daughter.
What positivity has isolation brought to your creativity?
Not much to be honest! Because I don’t have childcare I’m looking after my daughter full time, it’s forced me to step away from my work and prioritise what is most important to me, as I don’t have much time as I did.
What are you doing to keep sane?
Darning my jumpers in front of Master Chief in the evening, going out for walks each day, and buying flowers every other week from Bold Oxlip who happens to grow her flowers close to where I live. They are my treat to myself and really cheer me up.
Fave snacks you’ve been eating while being at home?
Last week I made some brownies with my daughter, and have been eating my way through them.
Can you share any good online stores to buy things for embroidery and craft making?
Fred Aldous is great, although up north, but I often buy stuff from them because they always have good stock of everything.
Who’s been inspiring you on Instagram?
Harriet Slaughter @boldoxlip flowers, Anna Jones @we_are_food amazing recipes, Anna Glover textiles designer @annagloverinteriors love her colours and paintings.
First thing you’ll do when the lockdown’s over?
Go and give my mum a hug and then pass her my daughter for the day!
